Ingredients

This recipe makes approximately 6 servings.

5 cups water

½ cup sugar 

6 black tea bags (or your favorite loose-leaf black tea)

1 cup orange juice

1/2 cup pineapple juice

2 cinnamon sticks

4 whole cloves

1 orange, thinly sliced

2 star anise (optional for extra festive flavor)

Fresh cranberries and rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions


In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat.


Once the mixture starts to boil, turn off the heat. Add the tea bags and let them steep for about 5 minutes. Adjust the steeping time if you prefer a stronger or milder tea flavor.

Remove the tea bags and spices. Add the orange juice and pineapple juice. Heat the mixture gently over medium heat until hot.

Strain the tea into a warmed teapot or directly into mugs.
